Cannot recommend this breeder enough, where to begin! We got our puppy, Baxter, from their last litter of 2022 who has been the perfect addition to our family. Their dogs are amazing and the family behind Hillsboro is equally as wonderful!

We arrived to pick up our puppy in the evening and were greeted by Lindsay and the mom of the litter, Lily. Meeting the mom of our puppy was great as we got to see her personality and how Bax may be as a result. We see a lot of Lily in Bax, very sweet, snuggly, smart, social/friendly with other dogs and people, and picked up training very quickly. We absolutely love our Baxter from Hillsboro Springers!

Lindsay was so wonderful and welcoming, seeming like someone we had known for a long time! The process was very well thought through and the care of their puppies is exceptional. As an established, second generation, springer breeder their dogs are selectively well bred for personality and health. Even after getting Baxter home Lindsay was very communicative to make sure all was going well. We called her a week later while at the vet for some health history and Lindsay immediately answered and was super helpful! We absolutely loved working with Hillsboro Springers and would get all of our springers from them!

I picked up Otis last year, let me just say he has far exceeded my expectations. Not only is he my best friend but he is an amazing hunting dog. He has been sent to a professional trainer and they have had nothing but good things to say about him as well. I will be using him to guide ducks this year and I very much look forward to it. We first met Lindsay at Hillsboro Springers while mulling over whether an English Springer would be a good fit for our family. She invited us out to meet her adult dogs, Lily and Belle. From the first greeting, you could see these dogs were sweet as could be. They are active and social but extremely well behaved and adore people. You can tell they are living the good life on their beautiful property. We quickly decided a puppy with their temperament would be a wonderful fit for us. We also wanted to be sure of good genes and parental OFA testing which was all provided to us.

Lindsay was wonderful with communication while we decided when the timing was right. We picked up our puppy in January. It has been exciting to get to know our new girl- she is adventurous and nothing seems to faze her. She is also quite a snuggler. I attribute this to the work Lindsay and her family put in from the start getting these dogs ready for their new homes. Maple is already mastering commands and crate training so well! She loves our kids and has been very gentle around my toddler nephew. We have had an overall great experience and know that Lindsay is always available for a puppy update or any questions we may have. Here is Maple (Lily/Waylon)

Something about Monty spoke to me when I came across a post about him as our family coped with caring for my terminally ill mother. Iam so glad I listened and reached out to Hillsboro Springers to drive down the road and meet him. It was immediately clear from his demeanor as a wee pup that he would be the perfect carrier of smiles to a home across the mountain in West VA. that needed all it could muster. Monty helped everyone during my mom's final months with his love, energy, intelligence and connection. The play breaks with my dad no doubt helped him on a daily basis as well as the gentle cuddles with my mom as she rested. Monty stayed with my mom through hospice and slept under her bed until she was gone.Although Monty was primarily intended for my mom, his bond with my dad was quickly evident. Now, this bond has blossomed into a blessing as they support each other and both work to keep my sister on her toes.

Monty is great with our family's children, particularly my teenage daughters, and is always ready for a belly rub. While he won't be going on any hunting trips, Monty couldn't be more perfect for us. This has everything to do with the care Hillsboro Springers has put into its lineage and raising healthy happy pups. We absolutely suggest you consider them as you look for your next canine companion.
